GamerKitchen “Pasta Sauce” – Episode 1
“Leisure Gamer Pasta Sauce” 1 Onion, medium 2-3 Carrots, medium 2 stalks Celery 1 Green pepper 8 cloves Garlic (2 tsp garlic powder) 1 lb Ground Italian Sausage 2 tbsp Sugar 2 tbsp Oregano, dried 2 tbsp Basil, dried 1 tbsp Salt 1/2 tsp Black Pepper 3 cans Tomato Sauce (15oz each) 1 can Tomato Puree (1lb 13oz) 1-2 tbsp Oil White wine or water (deglazing) 1) Cut up the onions, carrots, celery, green pepper and garlic. 2) Heat a large pot over medium-high heat. Add in 1-2 tbsp cooking oil and brown the sausage. 4) Remove the meat from the pan and “deglaze” the browning (fond) by adding some liquid to the pan. 5) Return the pan to medium heat and add in the vegetables. Cook until onions begin to sweat and carrots/celery soften. 6) Return the meat to the pan, add in the tomato sauce and puree. Rinse cans with water if necessary. 7) Add in the spices (Sugar, Oregano, Basil, Salt and Black pepper) (Garlic powder if you didn’t use real garlic).
Stir until mixture is hot and let simmer for
